Facts on File
The CD version of Facts on File enables you to search multiple years at a time (going back to 1980).
The CD is updated quarterly. For more current entries, see the paper reports which are still received in the library.
To access it:
As with most other CDs you need to install software the first time you use it.The first time:
Select Library CDs from the Chooser in MacZone. Select FOF_EPS from the list of options within Library CDs. After the FOF icon appears on your desktop, double-click on it to open it. Double-click on the Installer icon to install the software on your mac. To simplify later connections, after you have installed the software on your mac, locate it and make an alias of the software and put it in a convenient location, such as in your launcher or under Apple Menu items. If you already have the software installed, the steps needed to access the CD are simpler:Select Library CDs from the Chooser in MacZone. Select FOF_EPS from the list of options within Library CDs. After the FOF icon appears on your screen, double-click on the alias of the software which you installed earlier.
The basic search window, left, lets you combine search terms. Results appear in a directory as shown below.
